In India, information on Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) remains limited, making it crucial to develop resources to invest in both demand and supply side interventions to mainstream inclusion effectively. We are addressing this gap by developing a range of tools and resources designed to empower individuals with SLD and ensure they have access to the opportunities and services needed to reach their full potential.
These tools and resources will cater to the needs of stakeholders across sectors including education, employment, innovation, entrepreneurship by providing essential tech products, learning resources and facilitator manuals, checklists, handbooks, and key assets that promote best practices in inclusion.
By equipping stakeholders such as educators, medical professionals, organizations, and decision-makers with these resources, we aim to make them capable of building a more inclusive environment where individuals with learning disabilities can thrive.
We have partnered with NERD Tools Foundation, to develop screening tool in multiple languages to accelerate early identification of SLDS for individuals aged 6 to 18 years. The tool assesses literacy, numeracy and working memory abilities and helps identify areas of interventions to improve learning outcomes.
