What We Do

At ChangeInkk, we’re working to ensure that individuals with specific learning disabilities have equal access to opportunities from cradle to career. Our work ranges from empowering parents and educators to help them better support individuals with SLDs, to collaborating with policy makers, employers and educational institutions to create inclusive environments that allow individuals with SLDs to thrive and achieve their full potential.

ChangeInkk Foundation focuses on creating inclusive environments for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the program enhances the capacity of HEI faculty and staff to support students with SLDs through sensitization, training, and systems transformation. Additionally, we promote non-traditional pathways for students with learning disabilities by collaborating with state skilling ecosystems, increasing enrollment in open schools and vocational programs, and establishing industry linkages for employment. Accessible AI tools and future-ready workforce initiatives further support individuals with learning disabilities.

The Capacity Building Program for Inclusion of Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) was launched by Shri Sanjay Murthy, Secretary of Higher Education, on January 5, 2024. Conceptualized by the Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education, the program aims to enhance faculty and staff capacities in HEIs, creating inclusive learning environments for students with SLDs. The initiative, involving 41 institutions (details in Appendix), follows a six-phase approach: orientation, sensitization, masterclasses, workshops, implementation monitoring, and program conclusion. As a resource partner, ChangeInkk Foundation supports this initiative, providing technical guidance and training. By March 2024, the program sensitized 407 heads of departments, promoting inclusion across HEIs.
