NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit 2021

During the NASSCOM Design and ER&D Summit 2021, on October 7, 2021, a fireside chat was organised on the subject ‘Engineering a Neurodiverse Workforce: A Competitive Advantage!’. Noopur Jhunjhunwala, Co-founder and Trustee at ChangeInkk Foundation was invited as the speaker for the fireside chat, which was chaired by Debjani Ghosh, President of NASSCOM. In their discussion, Noopur highlighted that while gender and demographic diversity is a given in the modern workplace, there is yet another aspect which needs considering, i.e., neurodiversity. She added that companies which embrace neurodiversity can gain a competitive advantage in terms of innovation, culture, and productivity, which is especially true in the case of STEM-allied sectors.
