Teacher and Parent Sensitization Workshop ICL Schools, Navi Mumbai – 20 th & 21 st June

ICL Education Society runs schools and colleges to provide quality education for students from marginalized communities in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Changeinkk conducted a 2-day workshop for teachers and parents respectively at ICL Schools in Vashi & Turbhe. The capacity building workshop sensitized them to adopt and advocate dyslexia friendly techniques in the child’s life and make spaces more inclusive. On day2, parents attended an ice-breaker workshop that got the conversation around SLDs going, where parents shared some powerful personal stories too. This has been followed by screening of their students (in collaboration with NERD Tools Foundation) to identify ‘at risk’ students exhibiting signs of having an SLD. Currently, longer term interventions are underway in the school.
