We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic professional to join our team as Additional Director/Director for Public Policy, Research & Strategy. This leadership role involves spearheading and owning shaping of impactful public policies, conducting robust research, and developing strategic initiatives aligned with our organizational mission. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in public policy, possess exceptional research and analytical skills, and demonstrate strategic thinking to drive positive outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

(1) Policy Leadership:

  • Lead with ownership the development and execution of ChangeInkk & public policy agenda.
  • Provide strategic guidance on policy formulation and implementation, ensuring alignment with ChangeInkk’s mission

(2)Research Excellence:

  • Oversee, conduct and publish high-quality research initiatives to inform evidence- based policy recommendations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  • Stay abreast of global best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in public policy and government affairs. Continuously update knowledge and share insights with relevant stakeholders within the organization.

(3) Strategic Planning:

  • Drive and own the development of organizational strategies to influence policy, foster innovation, and achieve impactful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policies with broader organizational objectives.
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverable to meet strategic outcomes of the organisation.

(4) Internal Organization-Facing Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance internal organizational processes and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align public policy and research initiatives with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Spearhead fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, donor cultivation, and strategic partnerships to fund various activities planned.
  • Manage budgets for public policy, research, and strategy projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.

(5) Team Leadership:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to the public policy, research, and strategy team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

(6) Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community partners.
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and policy discussions.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, feedback, and data to inform policy positions and initiatives.

(7) Capacity Building:

  • Provide leadership in building the capacity of the public policy, research, and strategy team.
  • Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.

Eligibility:

  • Advanced qualifications in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 15+ years in a senior-level role in public policy or strategy
  • Strong understanding of the political landscape, regulatory frameworks, and policy trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Successful track record in fundraising and budget management.
